Baylor, Kansas State, and North Dakota State take top honors at 2013 Sales Warm-Up

Sixty college students from 20 schools in eleven states competed for cash prizes and the title of top salesperson at the seventh University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Great Northwoods Sales Warm-Up, October 31-November 2. The event was held on the UW-Eau Claire campus.

Oscar Velasquez from Baylor University, a senior marketing and professional sales major from San Antonio, TX, was named 2013 Overall Champion.  He was awarded a trophy, a $1,000 custom suit from Tom James, and a $1,500 cash award. Velasquez was coached by Dr. Andrea Dixon.

Emily Jardine from Kansas State University, a senior marketing major and leadership studies minor from Manhattan, KS, was named first runner-up. She received a trophy and $1,000 cash award. Jardine was coached by Dr. Dawn Deeter-Schmelz.

North Dakota State University student Andrew Richards, a senior accounting major from Fargo, ND, was named second runner-up. He received a trophy and $750 cash prize. Richards was coached by Dr. Michael Krush.

The highest scoring individual from each participating school, excluding the top overall winners, was named "school champion." The following school champions received a trophy and $150 cash prize:
