This is not telemarketing – you will be involved in long-term business relationships where your clients see you as a trusted business advisor. This position requires the ability to cold call, set appointments, solve problems, build relationships and close sales.
Executive Development Program – Summer 2016 Internship
Many internships are designed to benefit the company, but C&B’s summer program is designed to benefit YOU! This is a great resume-building opportunity as you will learn and develop the skills necessary to be successful in the job market. Think of this as more of a stepping stone into your career than as an internship – Many of our interns who excel through the program receive offers for full-time employment before they even start their senior year of college!
What are the benefits? The compensation is $5000 for the 10-week internship. Another perk includes bonus opportunities of up to $2,500, contingent on performance. Cottingham & Butler will provide and pay for your summer housing.
What will YOU be doing? During the internship, you will be partnered with an established sales executive and involved in various stages of the sales cycle – prospecting, appointment setting, marketing and the opportunity to be out in the field with our most seasoned sales professionals. You will also be responsible for a market research project throughout the 10-week program. This will be a real-life, purposeful project that will give you hands-on business experience. You will finish your internship with a presentation to Cottingham & Butler's executive team, including the President & CEO.
