Sales Intern

Job Description:
The inside sales team at Renaissance is growing and we have incredible opportunities for Sales Interns. Renaissance offers you a chance to make a significant impact on the education of millions of students by managing and selling Renaissance products and services within the assigned region. Sales Interns are responsible for cultivating customer relationships while achieving new product placement goals for assessment and instructional tools. They assist in temporarily managing any vacant territories as well as regional or national projects. You can truly impact the education of millions of students.

Every day will bring new and exciting challenges on the job:

  • Focus on special sales projects and sales campaigns that have been identified as key initiatives to prospect and acquire new customers
  • Assist with national calling campaigns
  • Temporary back up of vacant sales territories
  • Build awareness of Renaissance products within assigned region
  • Participate in targeted calling campaigns
  • Utilize the sales process to manage and close opportunities
  • Maintain high renewal rates among existing accounts
  • Provide short-term account maintenance for follow up on new business
  • Manage / Update opportunities in CRM
  • Develop and cultivate key customers and relationships through timely virtual meetings
  • Deliver Proposal and Quote presentations
  • Manage and resolve customer concerns and issues related to sales opportunities
  • Execute current and long term marketing strategy through targeted prospecting efforts
  • Represents sales by participating on initiative teams, based on impacted accounts Accountability for achieving sales targets
  • Interface with internal departments creating strong working relationships / efficiencies
  • Forecast demand for assigned accounts
  • Handle incoming sales calls
  • Support open sales territories

Required Experience:

  • Prior experience in Inside Sales, preferable in a professional contact center environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment to accomplish mutual tasks and goals
  • Selling skills: track record of success, handling different sales scenarios, following sales processes, phone selling, closing ability, negotiating, handling objections, retaining customers, capitalizing on marketing programs
  • Character: intelligence, tenacity, ambition, judgment, strategic skills

  • Interpersonal: oral communication skills, written communication skills, assertiveness, team player
  • Phone Skills: experience with virtual customer interface

We're looking for skilled inside sales experts to join our growing team. We are seeking inside sales professionals who are passionate about ensuring that their customers have the right solutions, dedicated to our mission to accelerate learning for all and passionate about positively impacting the lives of students and teachers and education in general.

This is not a typical tele-sales job; we are seeking sales professionals to work with professional educators by helping solve challenges that educators face. Your hours of work are built around your customers' school day.

Every day will bring new and exciting challenges on the job while:

  • Building strong relationships with educators in your assigned territory
  • Managing current customers' renewals, expansion and retention while also growing your territory by prospecting for new business
  • Strategically selling to your assigned territory accounts
  • Focusing on special projects that have been identified as key initiatives, building greater awareness of products, and participating in targeted calling campaigns
  • Growing existing customer base in accounts that have been identified as high profile, such as: RFP awards, state or district level opportunities that require prospecting school by school
  • Providing online product presentations to educators at the school and district level

Required Experience:

  • Knowledgeable about the sales process and what it takes to move an opportunity through the process to close
  • Highly proficient with the use of CRM Systems to manage multiple prospects and sales opportunities and the ability to use MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook proficiently.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales or related field or demonstrated sales success is highly preferred. Education experience or training is also helpful.

These are commission and sales bonus eligible position in addition to base pay, so your success directly impacts your earning potential.
